For some reason, I’ve taken far fewer pictures in 2024. Maybe it’s a lack of motivation, maybe it’s because I’ve exhausted the ‘best’ subjects, maybe it’s because Castleford is dying and there’s less and less reason to go into town. Wilkos, Marks and Spencers, The Co-Op have all disappeared. We do have plenty of places to get a tattoo, our nails done, or our phone screens repaired, but not much else.
Putting the RETRO book together was the main project this year, so some of the most interesting images were those scanned from old negatives.
