Training & Mentoring

I get many messages by email and on social media asking for advice on photography and post-processing; everything from what camera to buy to how to get an exhibition. I’m now in a position to offer one-to-one training and mentoring programmes for anyone interested.

Firstly, I’d better point out that if you’re wanting to learn how to make a fortune from wedding and event photography, then this probably isn’t for you – sorry! Please take a look at the photos on the website and read the “about me” page to get an idea of the type of work I do.

I’ll try and be as flexible as possible and tailor the training to suit your needs.

Training

The one-to-one training would be for full days (up to 6 hours) or half days (3 hours) – I’m in Yorkshire in the UK. As an alternative, Zoom or Teams would be an option.

Mentoring

The mentoring would be over a much longer period, one month or longer and would be conducted over the internet using Skype/Zoom and email/messaging. A typical mentoring programme would comprise regular projects and detailed feedback with advice on possible changes to technique and processing. Of course, you’ll get plenty of opportunity to ask questions along the way.

For Photoshop users, the mentoring would include access to actions and scripts that could help you with your processing.
