A write-up of my presentation in Settle October 2025

“What a great evening! On Monday 6th October John Gill gave an inspiring, illustrated talk about his approach to Street Photography.

John comes from Yorkshire and his talk in part related to his photography project entitled After the Coal Dust. A reference to his work and life in and around former coal mining towns. This project has been published as a book and has been the subject of exhibitions in the UK and overseas.

John talked about this project and others, and his approach to street photography. He illustrated his presentation with many, superb examples of his monochrome photography.
