On the 13th October 2026 I gave a Zoom presentation to Gosforth Camera Club. Copied below is feedback from the members of the club.
I wanted to say thank you for your fabulous presentation on Tuesday night. Street photography certainly is a topic for discussion and there was plenty of that following your talk. It will be very interesting to see what we achieve when we take on this genre of photography as a Mini Project in November.

“John was a very emotive speaker who clearly felt deeply about his images. Some people looked intimidating and I wondered if I would have felt safe taking some of those images!. No I wouldn’t. However appearances can be deceiving as those who look scary may be the first to help some one in need. I admire John for taking these and explaining his reasoning behind them. They made me reflect on the lives that people lead, the challenges they face and how under certain circumstances any one of us could end up on a different path. Thank you John for sharing your images they certainly gave me food for thought.”
